Click image for a larger view Sorry, no brochure is available for this product Features Description Unitech Online Data Collection Terminals The MR350 is a programmable, rugged and versatile data collection terminal. It is designed to meet the requirements of Time and Attendance, Loyalty Programs and Work-In-Process applications. Memory configurations with up to 512KB allow it to work online or to store transactions locally. Multiple I/O ports and interfaces make it the ideal solution for complex systems. The durable keypad is user replaceable and can be customized according to a personalized design. Simple Application Development With a DOS-compatible operating system, developers can use industry standard C compilers to write sophisticated applications. There is no need to learn proprietary languages. Other software development tools include JobGen Pro, a menu-based transaction program generator. A communication utility allows the user to transfer files and configure the terminal from the PC using a simple interface, and a DLL library for C, C++, Visual BASIC, Delphi and FoxPro is also available at no charge. Convenient slot reader The MR350 features a built-in swipe slot, which can accommodate an optional bar code, magnetic stripe or proximity readers. This permits the user to choose the technology that results in a cost-efficient system. In addition to the slot readers, the MR350 primary and secondary scanner ports accept wand, CCD and laser readers, which are often required in shop floor control solutions. User friendly The MR350 incorporates a large 2x16 backlit LCD. English and European character sets are supported. The four LEDs are controlled by software and a replaceable insertion keypad can be customized. All these features allow the development of intuitive, user-friendly applications. Furthermore, the optional internal UPS and standard lithium backup battery ensure that data is not lost during a power failure and while the terminal is turned off. In addition, there is a tamper-proof alarm that will sound off when a person opens the terminal without the security key. Wide range I/O interfaces Two serial ports enhance the connectivity options. Host communications use either the RS232 port for point to point or RS485 for multi-point networks, which can have up to 256 terminals A serial to Ethernet converter permits local area networking. An optional internal modem is also available to connect with remote locations. Two relays and four photo-coupler inputs enable external device activation and detection of events. All external devices can be connected to the unit's Dsub and RJ connectors or to its terminal block when the terminal is wall-mounted.
