Apex IV offers a unique combination of features and functions not available in any other device such as two user-accessible PC Card Slots, custom End Caps and an array of user-selectable Li-Ion batteries ranging in capacity from 3100 mAh to an impressive 4650 mAh. The Apex IV features include a full alpha-numeric keypad, full graphic display (240 x 160 pixels) with user activated backlighting, 8MB or 16MB of Flash memory and 4MB of on-board RAM. The Apex IV incorporates a 32 bit Microcontroller @ 33 MHz and is a Wi-Fi(tm) (IEEE 802.11b) compliant wireless LAN product. The Apex IV takes a giant leap forward in integrated terminal technology with the combination of ruggedness and custom configurability. Bundled Software The versatile Apex hand held portable streamlines and expedites the collection of data through the use of the six factory-loaded embedded applications. Each Apex is shipped with the following standard tracking applications and utilities for immediate data collection usage. Applications - Physical Inventory - Asset Inventory - Check-in / Check-out - Route Accounting Utilities - Label Printing - Barcode Scanning and Symbology Identification High Speed Data Communication High Speed Data transmission to and from the Apex IV can be accomplished via the infrared interface or the Serial RS-232 Interface port contained within the standard Apex IV end cap. The Apex IV comes with Communications software. Program Generator Powerful, and easy to use software, the Apex Windows(tm)-based Program Generator allows a user to visually create data collection screens, perform sophisticated math functions and create complex program flow. Designed as a rapid data collections applications development tool, the Apex Program Generator enables the developer to create mission critical business applications in a timely and productive manner.
