Description
ID Technologies 3840 Series of Magnetic Stripe Readers/Writers
The IDT3840 Series of Magnetic Stripe Reader/Writers are available in three models for either tracks 1 and 2 or 1, 2, and 3. This line of fully featured units have RS232 output and include complete operating software for reading, writing and verification testing of magnetic stripe data in standard ISO/ANSI or user defined formats. The units have three status indicating LEDs for the operator's ease of use. These reader/writers use a two head system for writing and verifying data on a single pass. The stainless steel card guide and long life heads offer extended performance. The long card track allows for better card registration, minimizing alignment errors and acceleration problems for consistent and reliable card writing and reading.
Reader Programmable Features
- Reset IDT3840 - resets the IDT3840 to default values
- RS232 port test - tests the serial port communications
- RAM test - tests the IDT3840 internal memory
- LED indicator test - tests the IDT3840 LEDs
- Sensor test - tests the card sensor
- Read card - reads a card once and displays data
- Write card - writes to a card once and verifies data
- Continue read card - reads card(s) multiple times and displays data
- Continue write card - writes to card(s) multiple times and verifies data
- Copy card - copies data from one card to another
- Compare card - compares if two or more cards are identical
- Write card from file - writes card(s) from a setup file
- Read raw data - reads raw data and displays it raw or decoded
- Write raw data - writes data to the card without encode
- Erase card - erases data on one card for specified tracks only
- Sequential write - writes incrementing data to a series of cards on a specified track
