Description
Overview
The BCH5X3X scanners provide interfaces not available in the ErgoScan series scanners in addition to the interfaces supported by the ErgoScan series. This series also offers very high resolution scanning. These scanners use a 3,648 element CCD and the BCH5432 scanner has been tested to successfully read bar codes printed with narrow bar widths of less than 3 mils. These scanners are also ergonomically designed and use less power than a laser scanner. The sizes available range from the 2.2 inch BCH543X scanners to the 5.0 inch BCH573X scanners that are the largest CCD scanners available.
Features
- Human Engineered - The easy to hold design allows the user to scan in a wrist neutral position. This scanner drastically reduces fatigue and repetitive motion injuries.
- Low Power Consumption - The scanner operates at 5VDC and only consumes 70mA of current.
- Reads All Standard Codes - Automatically discriminates and reads UPC/EAN, CODE39, CODABAR, Interleaved 2 of 5, CODE128 and CODE93 codes. It can also read UPC/EAN with 2- or 5-digit addendum.
- High Movement Tolerance - Reads a bar code moving in vertical and/or horizontal directions at a relative speed of 10 inches per second. This allows faster and more efficient data entry.
- VIDEO/CCD Imager - The scanning system is functionally identical to a solid state, one line, TV camera. There are no moving parts to wear out, break or adjust.
- Ultra High Resolution - Reads even the most densely printed bar code symbols and labels on irregular and curved surfaces, thanks to its ultra resolution CCD imager.
- Wide Range of Interfaces - Models available include common industrial, commercial and retail point of sale interfaces.
- Triggering Options - The scanner can be operated with an external trigger or in the auto trigger mode providing operational flexibility.
- Reads Poorly Printed Symbols - The advanced circuitry and optical design allows the scanner to reliably read poor contrast and soiled symbols.
- Low Fatigue Operation - The choice of Auto Trigger or the use of the dual triggers plus the wrist neutral operation allow for long periods of use with minimum fatigue and freedom from repetitive motion injuries.
- Multi-function Selection via Bar Code Menu - It is easy to set the operating functions, including data transfer format, symbology, the number of digits and so on, using a bar code menu.
- Compatible with Wand Scanners - Wand emulation interface makes the scanner replace a wand scanner.
