Click image for a larger view Sorry, no brochure is available for this product Features Description Overview The Long Distance models include the ES5442-LD and ES5446-LD scanners. The ES5442-LD includes RS-232 and wand emulation interfaces that are user selectable with the bar code menu. The ES5446-LD has an AT wedge output, including many notebook PC's. The flexibility of long distance scanning, combined with the ergonomic advantages and high performance of the ES5442-LD and the ES5446-LD allows this scanner series to operate at several inches from the symbol for greater operation efficiencies. Features - Long Distance Scanning - The scanner will read bar codes several inches from the scanner, allowing for easy scanning of hard to reach labels and easier positioning of the scanner relative to the label. - Choice of Interfaces - Two models are available. The ES5442-LD offers RS-232 and Wand Emulation interfaces and the ES5446-LD provides an AT wedge interface, including the required handshake for many notebook PCs. - High Move Tolerance - The scanner will read while still in motion relative to the bar code symbol. This allows the scanning function to become secondary to the actual work being performed. - Human Engineered - The compact, ergonomic design and light weight of the scanner make it easy to hold and use, even for small hands. The angled shape allows for wrist neutral scanning, reducing repetitive motion injuries. (Scanner's wrist) - Excellent Scanning Performance - The advanced one line VIDEO/CCD scanning operation is like a one line TV camera. The solid state imager, decoder and interface electronics are highly reliable and have no moving parts. All common linear bar codes are easily read. - Low Power Consumption - The advanced electronic design is very power efficient allowing for use with marginal power supplies and for portable data collection applications.
